After nearly two decades working in the tech industry as a software engineer, Deepak chased his longtime passion for cooking and launched DesiPDX in 2015, turning a decade-old dream into reality. What began as a passion project quickly became a standout in Portland’s renowned food cart scene. DesiPDX serves inventive Indian fusion fare that highlights locally sourced, organic ingredients, and offers vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options that reflect both tradition and innovation. 

Deepak’s cooking champions sustainability, seasonality, and creativity; frequently reimagining classic recipes through bold flavor combinations and Northwest ingredients. His food has earned recognition on Somebody Feed Phil, where his cart was featured as part of Portland’s vibrant street food landscape.
